Guide / Status indicators
Status indicators
Every color and dot on the Dashboard means something specific. Here's the full key.
Session status dots
These appear next to a conversation or job so you can tell what's happening without opening it.
Running
The agent is actively working right now — thinking, calling tools, or writing a response. Emerald green, sometimes with a subtle pulse.
Waiting for you
The agent has stopped and needs your input to continue — a question, a Decision, or a Pitch waiting on GO/Pass. Amber/gold.
Done / idle
Nothing pending. The last turn finished cleanly and there's no open question. Neutral gray-green — deliberately calm so it can't be mistaken for "Running."
Needs attention
Used sparingly — flags something higher-risk the agent wants to call out explicitly (e.g. a high-impact action it's about to take or already took). Rust/red.
Reasoning
Muted violet — marks extended step-by-step reasoning or a Decision-related thread, distinct from the everyday running/waiting/done trio.
Card badges
Needs Action
Shown on a Pitch card that's blocked on something specific from you — an answer, an approval, a piece of information. These always sort to the front of the deck.
Pitch
Tags a card as a Pitch — the agent proposing a piece of work for you to approve. See
Pitches & Decisions.
Decision
Tags a card as a Decision — a fork in the road only you can resolve.
Reading the Dashboard at a glance
- Scan for amber (waiting) dots first — that's where your attention is actually needed.
- Green (running) dots are informational — no action required, the agent's on it.
- A "Needs Action" badge on a Pitch always means: something is blocked until you answer.
- If a section on the Dashboard is empty, that's normal — it means there's nothing open right now, not an error.
Colors auto-adjust for light/dark mode but keep the same meaning — amber is always "waiting on you," green is always "in progress," neutral gray is always "done."
